Peace Advocacy Program

Program Overview

This program is dedicated to promoting peaceful coexistence, conflict resolution, and social justice. We believe that every individual deserves to live in a harmonious and equitable society, free from violence and oppression.

Our Peace Advocacy Program offers a holistic approach, addressing peace in:

  • Personal relationships (home, marriage)
  • Community settings (schools, traditional council)
  • Societal structures (politics, elections, religious groups)

Our Peace Initiatives

Our Peace initiatives feature a range of events and activities designed to foster dialogue, empathy, and understanding. These include:

  1. Peace for Schools: This is our flagship initiative dedicated to promoting peaceful coexistence and conflict resolution in educational settings. We address issues such as:
    • Violence among students
    • Bullying and harassment
    • Conflict resolution and mediation
    • Emotional intelligence and empathy

Through education and advocacy, we strive to create a culture of peace, empathy, and understanding among students, teachers, and staff.

  2. Community peacebuilding: We work with local communities to develop and implement peacebuilding projects that address specific conflicts and challenges.
  3. Peace concerts and festivals: We organize cultural events that celebrate peace, unity, and diversity, promoting a sense of community and social cohesion.
  4. Media Production (The Prisoners’ Voice): The Prisoners’ Voice is a media production that amplifies the stories and struggles of incarcerated individuals, fostering empathy and understanding. This initiative aims to provide a platform for prisoners to share their experiences and perspectives, promoting a more nuanced understanding of the criminal justice system as well as highlighting the importance of peace and conflict resolution.
